Selection of our work on the field of fluid dynamics & more
Dynamic Systems was established as an independent research company.
Our contribution on projects were focused on the field of the research of river bed hydraulics, fluid flow as well as hydro-power, water structures and navigation, and also subjects of specialization such as construction proposals of water structures & others.
Small hydro power plant. Assessment of the wall stability at right river bank
Projects assessment of small historical hydro power plant and its impact on the stability of the river bed and banks around the water structure analyzed through the three dimensional CFD model. The concept of hydrodynamic computational model either inlet and outlet of the power plant were treated separately as two-phase flow with free surface by finite differences simulation method.
Water structure on the Váh River with regard to navigation safety
In 2012 the study of research, design and implementation of the Water Structure on the river Váh. The objectives of the preparatory study was to particularly identify suitable location of the water structure, determine the composition of the hydraulic objects, determine hydraulic and hydrological parameters of the structure, determine the parameters of the operation performance an the workload and methodology of further detailed research for optimal design parameters and performance standards.
Small harbors proposal on the Morava River
Design, visualisation and 2D hydrodynamic simulations of harbor proposal with the best possible solution of inlet and harbor layout with focus on the navigation safety, environment acceptance and optimal economic costs.
Dam break model of Liptovska Mara Water Structure
The dam break modeling of the hydraulic structure Liptovská Mara in terms of the Directive of Ministry of Environment. Up-to-date modeling tools and high effective computers are making the two dimensional modeling of water flow more accurate for large territorie. sThe project was developed in two dimensional model as well as dam break model. Also the adaption of results was described for territory of river Váh under the dam.
Analysis of the bridge profile capacity
In 2012 the study of research, design and implementation of the Water Structure on the river Váh. The objectives of the preparatory study was to particularly identify suitable locality of the water structure, determine the composition of the hydraulic objects, determine hydraulic and hydrological parameters of the structure, determine the parameters of the operation performance and determine the workload and methodology of further detailed research for optimal design parameters and performance standards.
Retention dam Oreské
The simulation of water dynamics through functional object of retention dam Oreské using both 3D mathematical CFD model and physical research. The results of simulation were compared with physical model results as well as empirical calculations. Five variants of simulation were arranged with different upper water levels. The primary comparing parameter was the discharge which is directly related to functional objects rating curve.
Small hydro power plant intake structure analysis
The determination of water flow affected by a floating barrage at the intake structure of the Dobrohošť small hydropower plant. This task was an objective of the research on the Dobrohošť intake structure preceding its construction. The research had been realized during several stages – field measurements/physical modelling as part of the project made at Faculty of Civil Engineering STU in Bratislava, Department of Hydraulic Engineering & mathematical modelling. Results of physical modelling and three-dimensional mathematical modelling have been used for assessing the effect of the floating barrage on the flow.
Recreational navigation on the Morava River
1D, 2D and GIS applications on the mapping of depths and velocities in the main river bed of the Morava RIver.
Ship locks of Gabčíkovo Water Structure
Gabčikovo Water Strucutre is the biggest Water Structure in middle Europe. Ship locks are located on the left side of the Gabčíkovo WS. Their task is to navigate vessels from the upstream water (131.10 m a.s.l.) to the downstream water (109,50 m a.s.l). Also serves as a safety outlet in case of breakdown of the HPP Gabčíkovo operation with capacity 2 x 610 cum/s through filling and through locks 2 x 1200 cum/s. Research was aimed on the water dynamics bavior in conditions of the ship locks filling system.
